Creating good and well-organised system of education is these days one of the most important tasks, which governments have to face. The economic development of the country primarily is based on well-educated society. That is why the question "if the university education should be free" is so important nowadays.
There are many advantages of paid studies. Foremost universities would have much more money, which they could spend fore instance on infrastructure or wages for scientists and other people employed at University. What could be valuable for me as a student is the fact that conditions in which I have to learn and equipment of student hostels would be better. University would also be able to raise scholarships. But would it be fair to force for example poor students from the country to pay for their studies? There are many opinions on that topic.
Many people say that free education gives benefits specially for children from reach families. They can afford for paying highest salaries for teachers in private schools. And people from small villages can not learn even good public schools, because best teachers usually teach in large towns. That is the reason why the chances to pass all the obligatory exams to get to the University are not equal. There is one main effect of it: the poor cant get to the Uni and they have to pay for their education.
But finally I will present my opinion. I am for the idea of unpaid studies. Things I have written about are all true, but the problems that Ive signalised must be solved in a different way. Reforms of basic education in primary and secondary schools should be maid to make the chances as equal as it is possible. It wouldnt be fair for talented and hardworking young people to force them to pay for their education. It is the state who should be interested in education of the society and that is why the governments should look for money for Universities from other sources than a pocket of a young person.
